Mind-blowing Music

I’ll admit it…I’m a bit slow.  Maybe more accurately, I’m not an “early adopter”.  I tend to let others discover what becomes the “latest and greatest”, satisfied with enjoying what’s hot when it is has cooled just a bit.

My current phone is the first smartphone I’ve owned (and it’s not an iPhone).  I’m buying Blu-ray’s, but have only done so within the last few months.  I’ve pinned a few things on Pintrest, but I don’t have dozens of things pinned or more than a few boards.  I went months before I finally set up a facebook account and even now I don’t really get on the actual site all that much.  How long has Adele’s album 21 been out?  I just received it for my birthday a few weeks ago.

I don’t own a pair of Toms.

I don’t have a Playstation (1, 2, or 3) or an Xbox (360 or otherwise).

I’ve never played Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

I’m a bit slow.

So, it’s little surprise I am just discovering Spotify.  (I mean I barely started using Pandora!)

If you haven’t checked it out, do so now.  Right now.

Imagine everyone’s music library linked together and made available for you to listen to.  That’s pretty much Spotify.  You can create your own playlists.  Listen to “radio” stations based on favorite artists.  You can share your favorites with others.  Discover what others are listening to.  Subscribe to your friends playlists and more.

It’s communal.  It’s relational.  It’s musical.  It’s incredible.

I may be late to the game, but I’m glad I’m playing now.  If you have a few hours to get lost in the world of music…check it out and share your favorites with me.

Life is better together,
Shawn
